Here are five copywriting fixes:
(1)Do your visitors know immediately if they're in the right place?
If you're a career coach, explain whether you work with
recent college grads, mid-career professionals or displaced
executives. A heavy-hitter VP wants to know you won't be
intimidated by her income or credentials. An underemployed
clerical worker wants to be confident you'll understand
where he's coming from.
Copywriting Fixes:
Use a pre-head (the words that appear above the headline),
such as, "Attention all thirty-something women who are tired
of yo-yo dieting."
Use mirror techniques: reflect your client's pain and
recognize what pushes her buttons. For example, you're a
relationship coach with many clients who are going through
the agonies of being dumped for the fifth time in as many
years. Your copy shows you understand his anguish and
recognizes what he wants to achieve from a coaching
relationship.

(2) Do your visitors know why you are unique?
Your website visitor probably feels dazed after clicking on
dozens of sites that start to sound alike after awhile.
Copywriting Fixes: Get specific. Explain the system you
created that no one else usees. Focus on your experience in
your niche. Tell stories so you show instead of telling.
(3) Do your visitors know why you are uniquely qualified
to help them?
Copywriting Fixes:
== Add many pages of articles to your site.
== Create informative, insightful blog posts.
== List your credentials. Share your story (carefully).
(4) Create credibility and trust.
Copywriting Fixes:
== Create a site that comes across as authentic.
== Leave off the "me-too" props, such as quizzes.
== Consider creating an audio recording so visitors
get a sense of who you are.
== Include testimonials that identify the writer
(not "Mary M of Chicago").
== Tell stories about clients (with their permission).
(5) Communicate confidence, ease and simplicity.
== Lose the  welcome message.
== Write short sentences in simple, clear language.
== Make it easy for readers to find you,
learn about you and buy from you.
== Maintain enthusiasm and suspense:
keep the reader on your site and on your side.
